This was the best team I’ve ever worked for and the best work I’ve ever done. For the short time I was there, I thought I had finally found my place.

One day, the company announced via slack message that they were bankrupt and shut down. It was just a short “whoopsie” message with a sad face emoji tacked on at the end.
