I felt there was a real lack of care and appreciation for agency workers. I worked for the company for almost two years, which was during and after the covid pandemic. The company was unwilling to Furlough staff during lockdown despite being able to do so, which meant many of my colleagues had to do without regular pay for several weeks, fighting over the reduced hours available. I was never given any sick pay when I was pinged by the Covid 19 app-I asked the company as I knew I was entitled to it-I’d worked for them full-time for almost 1 year by this point- I spent almost a full day trying to sort something out and given no advice on how to apply for government funding etc so I just had to do without-again! other colleagues had similar experiences with sick pay. And finally, over the two Christmas’ that I worked, we were told by the company that we would each receive a £10 M&S voucher as a thank you gesture/bonus which none of us received.
