It’s the classic start-up job where you are overwhelmed and overworked with chances to get the 2% pay increase at the end of the year that’s not even covering the inflation. The support will be minimal as your managers will be as exhausted as you are. I would not recommend this experience to anyone mainly for mental health reasons, unless you want to make any job after this seem like the easiest on the planet. Expect to be expected to work overtime and have slack on your phone and answer questions and emails in the evening and weekends. Your manager will promise things will get better, which might make you stay for a while longer but the longer your stay in such a toxic place the longer will take you to recover. The unrealistic expectations, long hours, unachievable KPIs, lack of support, toxic culture, gaslighting and non-existing empathy. Everyone that worked at Taster for more than a year will tell you the same.
