This company is into business of steel trading and cutting steel. Don't know why but they recruit Engineers and MBA for the job which any non organised steel trader does. The Seniors or bosses till the Head levels are simply graduates and diploma holders. This company has nothing to do with Tata Steel and its just a subsidy of Tata Steel. Please be beware. Culture is very poor and only monopoly of senior management works. There is no growth if cannot please your senior and mind it it has nothing to do with your work performance. Work here is very low level which any steel trader does. This company doesn't have any product of its own. It buys steel from any steel manufacturer and sells into open market. No value addition. There is highest attrition rate of GT and MTs as understand the work culture very soon. Seniors are not at all helpful and will envy GT / MTs. Although management will project GT / MTs are future but down the years they will be pushed to low rated jobs. Like following up the trucks, loading of materials, following of for payments etc.. Yes one thing, if you posted in Head office Kolkata, its a different world all together. You will enjoy your life, work in any case you will not learn. HO people and senior management in HO doesn't have any clue what's happening in the locations. Location ppl have a poor way of life and work culture. There is no ethics and culture in this organization. Believe me, one of the biggest mistake will be of you join this company as an GT / MT.. Believe me, I don't have any vengeance, I only want new Engineers and MBA don't ruin their life and career here. Once you enter here, you will see, its full of Politics and senior management is fighting against each other. They don't have any agenda to see what down the line are going through.. And Yes, one main punishment tool is Transfer.. If you don't fall in line with your boss or location GM you will transferred to the remote location possible. So you find one person in single location for decades and few transferred 2-3times in 10 years. No one cares about you or your family, children, Parents, nothing . Either fall in line or be ready to face the music. Freshers, if you still join.. Pls don't regret as you got an warning before. I hope to provide you a detailed inside.
