Pros
the only pro I have is that I met some absolutely lovely and talented people. I am actually writing this review to encourage those who have left or are still in the company to know that they are not alone and that they should feel no hesitancy to look for work elsewhere. honestly, anywhere is better. and if you are considering a job at taxbit—do yourself a favor and run the other way.
Cons
all of these reviews that are giving 5 stars and saying that they love their job are current employees coaxed into it by management as a positive marketing effort. this is the worst job I (and many others) have ever had. let me break it down: - the hours were grueling and unsustainable. when employees mentioned they were burnt out they were told they should be grateful to be part of this "unicorn company" (always a red flag). - managers would ask where a project was that they never requested and then the employee would either be gaslighted into saying that they did request it, or scolded for not anticipating the need and doing it before it was asked of them. - a manager shared multiple employees' medical information with coworkers without their permission. - an executive would bad-mouth employees to other employees to make themselves look better - similar to the situation with the unreasonable hours—people were underpaid and told that it was ultimately worth it because they were "building something great". - people are fired if they start catching on to abusive work environments and begin to speak up. - some previous employees were bribed into signing nda's so they wouldn't be able to speak up after they left the company. all-in-all, this company is absolutely toxic. stay far away.
