Pros
Friendly coworkers that have a company get-together's frequently. If your sales oriented then you may be able to thrive here.
Cons
Being friendly is not enough. I was trained improperly on how to correctly log my sales and received zero compensation for any of them. Instead the commission was given to a trainer whos code i was told to use until i received my own, which as it turns out only takes a couple days, and i was not made aware of it until almost 2 moths had passed. I never received compensation for any of those sales and as far as i know the other employee was allowed to keep the entirety of the checks they received. you need to make at least 3 sales in a week in order to actually make a positive amount of money or you will be given a supplemental check that you have to pay back. Now im not one to usually complain about a company's decision to let me go based on performance but when my sales were not correctly logged i feel a great grievance when im told i have under performed, let alone not being compensated for my hard work. Aside from all this new employees are told that work hours are from 11-8pm but t is frowned upon if you show up any later than 10;30. they want you there early to practice a pitch that can be mastered in a few days for any person of average intelligence. All in all the bottom line is if your interested in standing in wal-mart for 6-8 hours a day peddling Direct Tv to a thousand people who have 0 interest whatsoever in you then by-o-means give it a shot. If you feel like your worth more than this then you will quickly find yourself hating this job and yourself for sticking with it.
