Pros
- Easy entry to a great industry
- Great exposure to different parts of the industry
- Ability to move to different projects and learn new things
- Coworkers are typically friendly and eager to help you
- Free drinks in the cafe area
- Usually no micromanaging (at least in my experience)
- Affordable health insurance
I only recommend this place to learn the industry and skills, then leave as soon as you are comfortable.
Cons
- SEVERELY underpaid for the work you do. Just look at other companies in the industry for the same job.
- PTO is a joke in itself. You get 3 days for the entire first day. For a full-time job!!
- Lack of structure for moving up. They themselves don't even have a clear answer of how advancement in the company looks.
- No pay raise structure. Some people who deserve it don't get one, and vice versa.
- Certain managers refuse to give you a good reason as to why they won't let you work from home, but this is not all of them.
- Half the time, the project managers don't know the exact workflows and how things work. You are left educating them.
- Hard work does not get recognized
