Pros
Four day workweek every other week. Pay was fairly competitive
Cons
Benefits were some of the worst I've seen at an organization. On boarding process didn't actually exist, was told there would be a two week training period that did not happen. Took the job after being told I would work directly with a senior engineer (a mentorship essentially). In the ten months of work I spent maybe three days working with the senior engineer. No one seemed to know what my responsibilities needed to be - instead I had a manager that seemed annoyed when I had questions. It was a generally unpleasant job and I felt entirely unwelcome. I came into this role feeling very hopeful that this would be the dream job, I was so excited to work with someone and build my skillset. Instead I spent a year Scrambling to get accustomed to the maze of undocumented procedures, poorly maintained infrastructure, and litany of responsibilities I didn't know I had. Zero feedback from management-no ninety day review, no six month review, no 1:1 meetings to touch base. After ten months I was laid off with no notice while working on a project. No formal exit interview, my manager didn't even speak.
