Thank you so much for taking the time to write such kind words! And I couldn't agree more that we have some of the smartest people in the industry working with us. We know people have opportunities to work with great companies and we couldn't be happier when people choose to come work with us. I hear you about the Times Square location, and as you noted, we'll be moving downtown soon! We're keeping many of the items that made this office special and bringing them with us (beer keg, cold brew machine and ping pong table!) and adding a couple of new things that we think our employees will enjoy in our new space. Appreciate the advice regarding promotions; I know the first question we ask when a role opens up is whether we have anyone internally who's ready for a next step. We've recently introduced job bands and levels to help our employees think about their career path. As for giving our employees a voice, we continue to do that in monthly town halls, annual engagement surveys and monthly "bagels with the boss" (aka our CEO). I'm sure there are more ways for us to do more, so if you have any suggestions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thank you, Laurie Horsman, VP, Head of People

Pros

- company finally has a singular focus, now it needs to execute on the strategy - real effort put into onboarding new employees and training them in the space - continue to find your footing around mission, values and culture, you have an opportunity to create something new and unique here - friendly employees made me feel at home quickly. i also found my colleagues very driven, genuine and very engaged in their roles - company continues to sponsor and support volunteer opportunities - many women in leadership positions, including C-suite roles - great pushes toward a fair work/life balance, most positions/depts allow you to work from home when necessary - HR did an engagement survey earlier in the year, and shared overall results with everyone in the company. they also met with each department and went over their results, line by line, so more transparency than I've experienced at previous companies - Mark is the right CEO to lead this new company

Cons

- no middle management or attempt to develop it. this creates a lot of failed projects and inability to execute. - manage out low performers, especially those that manage people; there are at least 2 departments where the entire team has turned over and everyone knows it's due to lack of leadership from the top - the sales compensation plan has drawn fair criticism and needs to be reworked in order to provide maximum motivation to those capable of making substantive bottomline impact - not a con, but you should know it's a fluid, ever-changing environment. if you aren't comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-pace, this may not be the place for you.
