Pros

Good team sales environment and opportunity to grow into senior level sales and management. Interaction with many people on a daily basis. Good support from management. Excellent benefits and potential income.

Cons

Salespeople must represent stations in many different markets, often dozens at a time, so daily activity can be overwhelming to those who are not highly organized. Sales expectations are sometimes unreasonable. Diplomacy and "people skills" are an absolute must.

Pros

- Multiple shifts, many outside of standard 9-5 hours, make it feasible to work here while daytime commitments (school, etc) have you tied up. - Unless you're hired seasonally, you're unlikely to get fired without VERY ample warning

Cons

- Very few roles outside of phone customer service, and most management roles are filled by long time friends/family of the owners, or people that have been with the company for a decade plus. Nearly no advancement potential. - Pay is low for the amount of stress that the job entails, and yearly raise (at time of departure) was 10 cents an hour (flat, no percentage). - No significant benefits, very little time off accrued, PTO starts after 1 year (which a large percentage of people burn out before) - Staffing is always very tight due to budget/turnover, calling out a single day due to sickness is comparable to facing an inquisition and likely to involve a write up for most employees, no sick days or opportunity to use PTO as sick time at time of my departure. - Intense favoritism in play, some employees are told they are vital and unable to call out sick due to lack of ample coverage, while others call out regularly with no noticeable repercussions.
