Pros

Everyone is very friendly for the most part and the creative/3D/retouch team is talented. You will learn a lot in very short time. New office is nice and located in downtown Edmonds. Access to waterfront, shops, good food, etc. 401k matching.

Cons

Management is still figuring out roles and responsibilities especially when it comes to advancement in roles. Setting goals and knowing how to reach the next step is still very vague / unclear. Project deadlines are almost, always very short. There is very little push back against clients. Poor communication. Working 50+ hours without any buffer / compensation is not unusual and expected. April to June are very busy months. Being in the office 9-5 is mandatory even if you've worked over your 40 hours. Only a select few get to work from home. Nobody knows how this is decided. Salaries are not very competitive. Profit sharing is nice but not always guaranteed so using that as an excuse to giving a lower salary is unrealistic. Favoritism is pretty apparent especially when it comes to the types of projects you get to work on and who gets to work from home. There is no initial training for project management roles which can be very stressful for everyone involved. For example, not knowing the right questions to ask or how much to budget for a project.

Pros

The projects are pretty fun and you get to work on some really cool IP with industry-leading titles and software. The team is super competent and worth their salt. I found myself learning a lot from the FTEs. The pay is really fair and competitive for the market rate due to the clients they work with.

Cons

Clients can be difficult to work with as there are many layers of red tape that have to be cut through and sometimes multi-international timezones for feedback. When the workload is good, it can be almost dizzying the amount of pieces need to be output and revised. File management is OK but could be improved upon a bit (OneDrive can be a headache). Workload can go from 100-0 almost overnight depending on the time of year and client budget.
