Pros

A compassionate and motivated management team has assembled a brilliant team of hardworking individuals and developed a business model that should be the envy of all "traditional surveying" organizations. The ever-evolving project management software that Terrane has built ensures that our clients' needs are met and that I am constantly working at peak efficiency. The GIS database that they maintain gives me quick and easy access to county records and over 20 years of the company's data. The support teams of PM's, Project Coordinators, Sales, IT, and administrative superheroes allow me to focus on what I've spent 20+ years immersed in: Surveying. The individual talents and passions of the employees are fostered at Terrane and it shows in every deliverable that we send out.

Cons

A renewed emphasis on communication within the firm has quickly snuffed out any negative feelings I've had regarding this company. Any of the cons I may be able to come up with at this moment, slight as they may be, will likely be history by the time you've read this post. This is not a company that requires you to quietly stew on issues, but rather encourages you to raise your hand, voice your concerns, and then has your back when it comes time to correcting them.

Pros

Very competitive salaries, great benefits, fun culture, beautiful office and a supportive team. Can lean on people from various parts of the company to help answer your questions- everyone wants each other to succeed.

Cons

Fast-paced environment may not be for everyone, but I personally enjoy it. Each day is different and you won't be bored.

Pros

Company truck outfitted with gear, but heavily monitored by Tesla owner. Should speak for itself.

Cons

"Detached" leadership. Higher ups have no clue what it is like to be in the field, yet are responsible for setting the bar at an unreasonable height and playing favoritism. Rewarding bad behavior and laziness with pay raises and threats to lay off individuals who aren't willing to pull 10+ hour days every day. Does not matter if you have been with the company for (x) amount of years, they will bring in new hires with less qualifications at a higher wage than you. Company meetings are less about the crew and more about flexing individuals. If you disagree with anything management says, you will be let go, no questions asked. I would give negative ratings for work/life balance if possible.
