Pros
Flexible hours Most coworkers are great and friendly Safe work environment Stable hours. Can plan the rest of your day around work.
Cons
As a previous review mentioned, once minimum wage goes to $15 an hour in January 2022 there will be no raises until you work for 5 years, and even then a max of $16 an hour. You are better off pouring coffee in a drive thru for minimum wage and not having to sort through peoples literal garbage for the same wage. Union is more worried about fighting mandatory vaccination for employees and testing for the unvaccinated than securing a better wage for staff. Ashamed my union dues go towards fighting vaccination. It is true the full time workers make almost double the part timers but most will avoid doing customer facing work at all costs and leave part timers to fend for themselves. Probably was a decent job 10+ years ago but at this point in time would never be able to recommend working here. Even for the recent referral bonus did not have the heart to recommend this job to anyone in my network looking for work. Unless you enjoy dealing with rude/drunk/belligerent customers. Sorting through trash and smelly/unsanitary empties for as little as legally possible to pay you, don’t bother applying here.
