      Pros

      You gain so much experience to put on a resumé. A little bit of everything goes into this job, and it will give you a leg up for any future interview. 40% product discount. Just a really cool job, I design clothes!! Good mentors. 9-5 weekday hours. Casual workplace dress. You make good connections in the industry

      Cons

      The pay SUCKS. Been there 4 years and barely making $19/hour. It’s a joke if they think this can go on long term, and then wonder why they have such high turnover. It’s like 50 girls, so it’s a bunch of petty drama all the time. The favorites are the ones who travel, and only the girls that work on tops get promoted. The upper management make you feel like you need to have Botox and a boob job to get ahead, and have terrible body image. It’s rubs off and makes being there feel toxic and like you aren’t good enough after a while.

      Pros

      -Good work-life balance. -Team-building is encouraged. -The experience can vary by location. -Buckle has the potential to have some of the best retail teams, depending on the store. -There are opportunities for growth and career advancement for employees who have supportive leadership.

      Cons

      Management's willingness to lead, communicate effectively, and support employees is what creates opportunities for growth, but that was not my experience at this location. I felt the work environment was negatively affected by inconsistent communication, a leadership style that felt overly controlling, and discussions about employees that appeared to undermine teamwork and trust. I believe a more respectful, supportive, and collaborative approach to leadership would create a healthier workplace culture and better support both employees and the overall success of the store.
