Pros
Starts out good, then changes.
Cons
Instead of being trusted to report on unique articles, one is forced to write what the administration wants, despite personal affiliations or beliefs. People are micromanaged to the very letter, with no space for breathing or creativity. There is no HR at all, and whatever passed for HR was of no help whatsoever. One was expected to work from home when not in the office -- including on the weekends and EVERY holiday, including Christmas, which seems counter-intuitive to the Christian tradition. People are treated less than human, instead as robots. When the NY office began to merge with the Washington office, no notice was given to employees and no severance was offered for loyalty and years of service. Offers of opportunities were promised and then taken away. Employees were expected to do extra jobs without extra compensation or recognition.
