Pros
Work at home PTO Flexible shift (not always the case, depends on the position) Occasional company paid travel
Cons
No internal collaboration between departments Very limited career profession options varying by location Poor work/life balance Health insurance plan offerings are terrible (and the company is an insurance company, ridiculous) Pay is okay but no raises despite excellent performance. Minimal annual merit increases, I got 1% and it wasn't because of poor performance. Managers can block career progression if they like you and want you to stay on the team. They can also freeze the department and say nobody can advance for months at a time. You also have to have their permission to try to post out for another position. PTO has certain times of the year (months!) that is blocked off due to business need. Convoluted and difficult internal processes
