The Krusteaz Company espouses that they are a family oriented company and a fun place to work. They say that they have a strong culture built around a spirit of camaraderie and respect. That was definitely true when the original owner was managing the company and when it was smaller. The Krusteaz Company is growing rapidly and with that growth, the company has changed. The organization is now being run by the son, Andy Heily, and he has put new leaders in place that don't necessarily live and breathe those same standards. . There is a lot of dysfunction at the Sr. Leader level which in turn trickles down and causes issues with the rest of the teams. People are left to fight it out with no strong leaders to resolve issues and make decisions. There is a lot of lip service about encouraging open dialogue to resolve issues but that's not playing out in reality. Strong leadership, especially at the Director level is sorely lacking. In addition, because the company is a CPG company that primarily makes dry mixes, there has recently been more pressure to innovate. This pressure has caused a palpable shift in the way employees interact with each other and the company is no longer a pleasant place to work.
