Pros
- MPG have put together a great Art Team, filled with industry veterans, skilled juniors and everything in between. They have no idea how lucky they are. - A lot of knowledge and a global workforce, with good diversity - I think the pay is quite good - Remote first workplace
Cons
- Art team are being left to drown. No paying projects coming in for artists, with majority of artists stuck working on game jams and making pitches look pretty. Nothing we have worked on can be shown to potential new clients, so we have nothing to show for our time here. They have spent all of this time and effort building a good art team with people who have shipped phenomenal games in past roles, and they are letting them rot on experiments that nobody will likely ever play. - There are questionable decisions being made around in development projects that do not align with what a self-proclaimed AAA studio should be doing. - Studio Leadership promised us there would be no layoffs at the start of the year, and then continued to lay people off a few months later. - There is a serious problem with nepotism, with friends and family of the studio leadership getting special treatment/promotions, whilst those not in the "inner circle" are ignored. - Demos and pitches are usually high pressure death marches where we are told last minute to make something high quality in a very short space of time.
