In my opinion, if you are passionate about music and technology, there's no better place to work. * The Orchard is small enough that your work can make a real impact, and not too big to get bogged down with bureaucracy. * If you ask to be put "on the list" for music events by any band whose label they distribute, there's a 90% chance you'll into the show for free. * Tech leadership is smart, focused, and dedicated. They're constantly making improvements and staying on the front line of industry best practices. * The people are excellent. There's an overarching vibe that coworkers are not just coworkers, but friends as well. * The Christmas party is legendary. * Sony ownership provides an additional level of security in terms of benefits. * The company is profitable in the music industry, which is remarkable considering companies in the same space annually book billions in losses.
