Pros

Having employment in an uncertain time

Cons

Being overworked. How much were being paid is used as justification to overwork us. Metrics are unrealistic, currently working on a campaign where the majority of the black men are struggling to meet metrics, and are being threatened with termination. We use terms like "racial injustice", instead of racism and classism. Black staff is put at a disadvantage here due to the overall lack of cultural competency and acknowledgement of demographics when engaging the public. We are currently advocating for an initiative for affordable housing, that will not address the the fact that black people are 5% of the population in SF, and are 40% of the homeless population. This bill is funded by tech millionaires and billionaires in an attempt to house their workforce, under the guise of providing housing for teacher. It's disgusting. I've been here two months and we have fired over half of the black workers we have hired, on a staff of over 50.

Pros

Great pay and healthcare, management and teammates are kind

Cons

Management fluctuates your goal to extremes. Lots of them are unrealistic, you won’t get in trouble, but they will talk down to you. I am averaging 55/hrs a week while being salaried at 40-50 in my contract. I’m super passionate about the cause but it’s hard to be when you’re overworked with extreme goals. People feel like numbers.
