Pros
Benefits, some leadership/management staff.
Cons
When first starting, you’ll feel supported and encouraged in having a career there. There are some really good people that do work there and being able to work along side them are great. As someone else mentioned, not a bad place to start out your career. However, as also mentioned - pay is still below the average for the area and definitely below the salaries being offered in Seattle. When addressed, they constantly refer to their bonus/share program as a way to defend that they actually pay you more - which, is totally ridiculous as the bonus/share is never guaranteed. They seemed to be changing that with new hires in order to obtain better talent but those who received higher salaries were referred for the position by current employees bringing in their friends/contacts. This just fuels the nepotism that is already vastly apparent. Especially when looking around and seeing other individuals who were hired because of their connection with someone in the company and their performance is poor/below par but yet nothing is said or done about it. The turnover is high due to burn out and demands/expectations of some management and producers. They’ve trimmed the teams to not having enough people for the work and you’re constantly behind - which only gets worse when people are out or leave because they’re fed up. There is some management support but others in leadership are either out for themselves and will throw you under the bus or avoid any kind of contention or confrontation like the plague so thus do nothing about internal personnel issues. Especially when it comes to some toxic individuals whom are partners of the company or in management and thus get away with condescending and inappropriate behavior that would absolutely not be tolerated if it was a public corporation. It’s very clear who the chosen ones are and the special treatment is vastly apparent. If you don’t know anyone who works there that can refer you in - I’d recommend thinking long and hard on if it is worth the future stress and lack of appreciation.
