Pros
I worked for TSG for several years and had a wonderful experience. I can't say that it was a perfect company -- perhaps such a place doesn't exist -- but it was a great work environment. I worked on several national clients with recognizable brands and performed meaningful, award-winning work. I respected the agency's top leadership (Bill, Todd, James and Christy). They cared about the clients, were friendly and are talented. I felt my colleagues were good people, with strong work ethics and desires to keep improving. I felt supported in my professional development and was afforded the time to attend professional development events as well as serve on those boards. The corporate culture is to run hard for clients, which I would expect, yet it's balanced with a friendly and playful spirit. Overall, I felt appreciated by the executive team, worked in an empowered state and had a lot of fun along the way. I was grateful for the opportunity to work at TSG and fortunate to be a part of the organization.
Cons
Too much of the company's promising talent -- the next generation of the agency's top leaders -- were recruited away from it. Those proven individuals need opportunities for advancement or they will go elsewhere. Hold onto your stars!
