- Some older employees have been so ingrained that they are treated as special exceptions to any rules and above the expertise of talented, newer employees despite not working in the same departments. Recent and sudden redundancies have made it clear that head office does not value the solid work of many employees who have contributed hugely to the organisation. - Inflexibility over sick/bereavement leave with some of the longest working hours for the pay offered. - Poor HR practices. - Meaningful change happens at a glacial pace. - Accessibility and inclusion are struggled with even now despite being an organisation serving people with disability. - Exec/senior management is totally disconnected from 'lower' staff, they keep information clouded and indirect and show no appreciation to staff who are not upper managers or the 'special' few.
