Cons
- Not a con but an obvious note about the organisation : Being an organisation of 50+ years in Singapore, there is still no strong structure and systems. There can be a peculiar group of (middle) management employees who think very highly of the company & thinking its structure and policies are on par with Govt-Linked companies (which is not even anywhere near or true). In fact, the whole organisation is still in the "life-cycle" focusing on survival. - My superior in my dept were too busy with rushing out with the work results/ deliverable that there is no time for mentoring. Not a good place to develop yourself if you are still a young executive looking for development. Not much teamwork in the team too. There are nearly half of the team demotivated and picky with what they want to do and the supervisor actually allows them to choose what they want to do. Thus no choice, new people have to take on alot more. - There are leadership styles that are frowned on, keeping good people demotivated or away - HR can be too proud, especially competitive & aggressive. They tend to sway from decisions to decisions and not able to advise HR-related matters well. A singlish word to describe is they can be "roti prata"
