They wasn’t any, got told you could grow in the company but then they got rid of me on the 2nd day.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Thompsons Commercials. I started an apprenticeship with them this week, leaving behind a stable full-time job to pursue a new career opportunity. However, just two days in, I was laid off for not being “good enough” and “not fast enough.” As an apprentice, I was there to learn — not to be expected to perform at the level of someone experienced straight away. There was little to no time given to properly train or develop my skills before making such a harsh decision. It feels completely unreasonable to judge someone’s ability after only two days, especially in a role that requires learning and progression. This situation has left me in a very difficult position, having given up job security for an opportunity that was taken away almost immediately. I would not recommend this company to anyone considering an apprenticeship, as they do not seem willing to invest the time or effort into properly training beginners.
