Pros

* genuinely caring, empathetic, and open-minded team. seriously, my colleagues are the nicest people I've ever worked with in 10 years * flexible working hours + location, remote friendly * incredibly strong culture of product thinking. you will become a more principled + structured thinker and decision maker after working here * de-risked but lots of opportunity. we have customers that have been using the product for 2+ years + have restructured their internal communication around Threads. this kind of product/value fit is rare for startups * culture is inclusive, transparent, and collaborative. product decisions are made in the open. management keeps the team fully informed.

Cons

* occasional sprints (but overall work/life balance is good) * has not reached escape velocity / exponential growth * management + promo structure is new and not fully fleshed out yet

Pros

Switching jobs in the middle of the pandemic was extremely stressful and daunting, but my experience interviewing with Threads put all of my fears at ease. Now having been at the company for almost a year, I can proudly say that Threads puts its employees first and I made the right decision to change companies last year. Pros: - Amazing colleagues that are supportive, even if you're not on the same team - Leadership is extremely transparent - Competitive compensation packages (including equity) - Great benefits, especially for a small company. 100% health insurance premium, dental and vision coverage, mental health stipend, work-from-home stipend, among others - Dedicated efforts to support the community against social injustice. - Value-based interview process - Flexible working hours. Outcomes prioritized, not the hours that one inputs. - Huge focus on team bonding, especially while remote, and will continue to have a distributed workforce. - Very few meetings compared to most companies. We use our asynchronous product internally, so have a lot of time to focus on our work. No zoom fatigue here!

Cons

- While not a con for me, moving fast might not be for everyone. We ship quickly and sometimes don't have the structure that someone from a larger company may be used to. However, there is a lot of autonomy to own your decisions and there is support if you are blocked.
