Pros
Very creative– high levels of creative freedom for the senior level designers. If you're also a designer who enjoys talking to a lot of different people who are NOT designers (like writers), this is a great job. You meet a lot of interesting people. The benefits at the time I was there were solid– I can't speak towards it now though since Thrillist was acquired by Vox.
Cons
Disorganized (what company isn't though at this point?), needs clearer communication between teams. If you're someone who's come from start-ups, non-profits, or who's been freelancing for a long time, the disorganization is manageable. Not a lot of upward mobility. It was unfortunate to hear people who've worked on the team much longer than I have not be offered promotions into higher positions despite having worked at the company for a long period of time.
