Pros
Thrive is a great place to learn everything about online advertising and work with some of the worlds biggest brands. People are friendly and (for the most part) great to be around. You have the ability to move up very quickly, depending on how fast you learn and who you have in your corner. This job is the best resume boost you could ask for.
Cons
Unfortunately over the last year, lots of people have left and more than ever, there’s a ton of work being pushed on people. Very little support is provided to improve workloads. When brought to management, I was told that I must’ve been inefficient, or just not working. It appears that upper management thinks people just aren’t spending their time efficiently. We’re not robots, and they’re not willing to take accountability to giving people too many projects. People promoted to team lead positions have very little management training. When being promoted, you don’t get a salary increase right away. This is usually 3-6 months after. Giving people more responsibilities with no change is pay isn’t really ethical. Thrive talks a lot about mental health well-being and providing well-being days. However when I brought up my mental health issues, i felt like it was ultimately brushed off and no changes were made. There needs to be better training with managers to have these conversations so people who are vulnerable don’t feel skirted over.
