Pros
None, really, there is nothing good to say.
Cons
Leadership: The leadership team, from C-level executives to department directors and managers, does not know how to value employees. Managers only manage people here; they do not do any other actual work besides managing people. Managers of alliances do not manage partners. They do not have real management experience and do not care about anyone but themselves and their best friends. They promote those who are aggressive, fake, and lie to their customers and partners just so they can get sales. These same people backstab their coworkers. The company has lost many good people due to poor management and layoffs. More people are going to leave in the next 12 months. If Tipalti wants to save some real money, they should fire all the people managers. They are useless. Culture: Everything is about money. Employee loyalty and satisfaction are probably at the lowest point ever right now. They do not care if the quota they give you is unattainable. They make you sell an undesirable, unfinished product to your partners and customers. How can you make that happen? You have to lie. They do not care about your long-term career, credibility, or reputation. Diversity: What diversity? The company has offices in the most diverse cities in the world, and yet you predominantly see white employees. I have encountered several occasions where people were being yelled at or treated like assistants when they were not. No consequences ever happened to those aggressors. An internal employee was interviewing for a manager role, and when asked a behavioral question about an assumed situation, this employee straight out dismissed someone else's work on the same team to the interviewers, when he never even bothered to speak with this other person or learn about their work. Not to mention, the way he answers other questions really makes you wonder how he got this job in the first place. It is super unprofessional and discriminatory. Moreover, the bias and racism towards minorities are never addressed. There is no inclusive culture in the company. They act like they care, but never do anything when you give suggestions. The worst part is they do not think they did anything wrong. It is absolutely disgusting! Compensation: Glassdoor salary is not reliable. Depending on your location, the salary reflects how much the employees should be getting paid. But in reality, the salaries are much lower than what is shown here. They did a survey for all their employees to share feedback, and most people asked for higher pay because it is on the lower end of the entire tech industry. They did not even bother to address it during the all-hands meeting when they were providing responses and actions to the survey. Not one word. By the way, if you see only very short reviews saying this company is great and pays well, they are all fake reviews. They probably created some Glassdoor accounts just so they could post those 5-star fake reviews to boost the score on here. There is so much more to say about this company, but I am tired. I am glad that I got out of this toxic environment.
