Pros
-Some of the most amazing clients and families I have ever worked with. -VERY strong clinical team. The onboarding and training process for BTs is very comprehensive, and encourages BTs to become RBTs. - ST team strived to work as closely and collaboratively with the BT team to be as cohesive and supportive as possible. -Fantastic resource department - BTs had all materials needed to run programming effectively.
Cons
-ST training was too fast, and several processes were not expressly trained, but assumed. -Expectations were not communicated in a transparent manner (e.g., report turn around time was 24 hours, STs were expected to run clinical supervision meetings instead of the clinical supervisor, etc.) -Inconsistent instructions across equivalent roles and co-workers (e.g., some people were not told about the above expectations while others were told) -Some pressure to take on clients outside of scope of practice or competence. -The building is falling apart. Flooding is a common issue, electrical circuits have stopped working for days at a time, etc. The space is bursting at the seams and there is barely enough room for all the learners.
