Pros

I am a current employee. When I first started, I heard a few stories about high turnover and how some employees should be avoided due to their poisonous character . I have yet to meet someone up there that has been less than very nice and professional. I can safely say that I have not seen what can be considered "high turnover" since I started. Tolteq has hired 20+ people since I have been there and have only lost a small few. I cannot testify to the reason why the people were let go however, but it is not because the managers are tyrants or something. Everyone up there seems really nice and people seem to get along fine. The building is located near a pond and has a running trail around it. Tolteq has company parties and so far they have been fun. Anyway, I like it just fine.

Cons

I have not experienced any cons really. To say something would really be knit picking at this point. I actually have fun at my job.

Pros

Hard work gets recognized. I've been here a year and seen about a dozen people promoted. Other companies hire to fill openings, but Tolteq promotes from within. Tolteq has many smart, hard-working people there and it's a pleasure to work with them on a daily basis. Oil and gas is a good industry to be in President comes to work everyday and is an engineer

Cons

Deadlines can be aggressive but that's fairly typical in commercial engineering

Pros

Tolteq has been in business for a while and offers a stable job in an unstable industry. There are many great people to work with and learn from. Most employees are team players and eager to help. The medical and dental benefits are acceptable for a company this size and they match 4% of your 401K contributions. They are located on a large piece of land with a jogging trail, disc golf course, and outdoor kitchen area.

Cons

Employee retention and morale is the worst I've experienced in any company. The HR manager does not appear to understand the importance of employee retention and is quick to dismiss employee suggestions that might actually make the company a better place to work. Tolteq lacks focus and direction which sometimes creates a chaotic work environment. Lack of communication between departments is a serious problem. The business development side of the company often makes arbitrary decisions without seeking input from the engineering team. This makes it difficult to provide customers with a quality experience.
