Pros
Started as a guest service associate at a very bad tip making site. I ended up getting transferred and made decent tips at a better site. Quickly moved me to a supervisor position with very little training. I should have stayed there and took this company for what it is, a good job to make tips while you work on something better to move on to.
Cons
Eventually I moved up to an assistant manager position, I was passed up several times due to the DM's hiring and promoting friends and relatives that PROVED to be unqualified. I was also EXTREMELY low balled when I finally was promoted to assistant manager(I guess they ran out of friends needing jobs) In the long run the salary was less than what I was making in tips. I am now stagnant and in the same situation trying to move to an account manager job, I was recently dissuaded out of applying for an account manager position because it was already "given" to a relative of a district manager. They are WAY OFF on the salaries they offer for the work because in the last month I was working 50+ hour weeks, the GSA position makes more when calculated. I will be leaving soon as I have had several better job offers already with much higher salaries and MUCH better benefits. Not to mention I will not be on call 24/7 and constantly bothered on what little off time I have.
