Upper management is incredibly shady, dishonest, manipulative, and self-righteous. They seem nice on the surface, but do not trust them under any circumstances. Take note of the six positive reviews made within two weeks of each other in 2022. That wasn't a coincidence. Their shady behavior goes much deeper, but this is a good example.
While the initial product concept is cool, the company now lacks a vision. The CEO no longer seems passionate or interested in the company and has handed off most responsibility to someone who doesn't understand the product or the industry.
They blame junior staff for the major issues at the company. This quarter they blamed poor sales numbers on two accounts executives quitting, even though our sales numbers have been poor for a while. No mention of how we target a new industry every few months, or that our marketing strategy for a year was to criticize consultants, then we spent months unsuccessfully trying to market to consultants as potential customers.
Turnover is extremely high both from people quitting and getting laid off. There is no job security. They will fire you during training if they decide they do not like you. They will fire you after several years once they train someone for a lower salary. It seems like the company is hurting for money.
Upper management believes that doing deep breathing exercises on all hands and the occasional virtual team bonding game will solve the toxic culture they create.
