Pros

Most coworkers are laid back, gorgeous locale, management leaves you alone for the most part, very hands off until you start screwing up. But that's about it.

Cons

Nobody communicates. Management refuses raises and will tell you that you're getting one just to shut you up and keep you working above and beyond like a carrot on a stick you will never actually get. You will be told to do one thing, just to be told you in fact should not have done the one thing if it ends up costing them money. I've seen them retaliate over labor board complaints that are valid, and I've seen them retaliate against people who use their PTO, which, by the way, is illegal. There seems to very much be a culture of favoritism at play here, and the double standards are wild. If a guest knows Barry, the big wig, for example, they are allowed to do things other guests can't. Back to the PTO...sure they are following the law, but they give the barest of minimums of PTO earned per 30 hours worked, so good luck saving up for anything worthwhile like a vacation, especially because they use an extremely one sided points system for attendance; if you have the audacity to call in if your sick, you are forced to use PTO or you get punished (8 points and you're fired. Points don't go away for a full year, so do the math), which translates to months of hard earned PTO gone. Since you barely make any PTO while working that means if you're sick what little you accumulate vanishes, forcing you to work several months just to get enough PTO to even cover a single shift since your call in wiped out your PTO. Good luck if you have car issues, or childcare issues, etc if you dared call in for being sick. They will not have your back if a guest lies about you, either. The pay isn't great, and in today's economy, thats a significant issue. Buildings are falling apart and filthy, especially the buildings staff use as offices, and instead of focusing on making things better for their staff, they instead pump tons of money into things like the unnecessary remodel of the convention center, meanwhile there's a dilapidated, abandoned locker building, a large section of the restaurant building that's been "under construction" for years, snow cats constantly breaking down, company vehicles aren't treated with care and fixed when needed until somebody raises enough hell about it or they're ran into the ground, etc. It's frustrating because everything else is great across the board as far as everyone's specified duty amidst their departments go. But the big, big issues here are the retaliation for labor board complaints, for using our PTO and the refusal to hand out raises after promising them. They simply do not respect you or your time.

Pros

They never extended an offer I would have to reject,

Cons

If you have a disability and disclose it they'll put you in laundry which they disclose to you everyone else in laundry has a disability so they don't even try to hide it. Picture it as signing up for the Olympics and almost being accepted until disclosing your condition and then you're put into the special Olympics. When they tell you "Expect to hear from us by ___ and you'll get an email either way with our decision" believe it about as much as you believe in Santa Claus. Never even spoke to the actual manager just two lower level leads ? They expect way more than possible from their employees because they treat their current ones so horribly there's a rapid turnover and burnout.
