Pros

No commission split, only $150/yr. membership, minimal charges per transaction. Easy to submit contracts, immediate payment at closing. Good support staff.

Cons

You're essentially on your own. Basically a place to hang your license. Independent contractor status. You pay all your own expenses, no benefits.

Pros

Good commissions and great signage

Cons

Difficult to talk to someone with ability to make decisions. 1099's were always a month late: agents were not paid for leases for extended periods of time unlike other agencies

Pros

It's great if you simply want to work independently and may a low annual fee.

Cons

No support, I worked there for 9 years. They were fine when they had a different broker (D. Miller) the new broker is COMPLETELY hands off. Good luck getting a question answered or having anyone to ask for advice. While they've always been slow to pay on residential and commercial leases the past 2 years were the worse. I finally left the company after not being paid my commission for over six months. I hand delivered the cashier's check to the agency on April 1, 2016 and still haven't been compensated. I've emailed, popped in the office and called numerous times only to be told that the owner (who issues the checks) is unavailable . I checked with the broker that issued the check and confirmed that Trend Setter had indeed cashed the check.I'll have to take them to small claims court to ever HOPE to be compensated.
