Pros
- Due to the nature of consulting - you will get experience in literally everything that modern companies use for software development from bleeding edge technologies to 25 year old legacy code - People you work with are great - they don't hire dummies. - Killer new office in Plano near Bush / Tollway - Remote 90%+ of the time unless assigned on-site - Lots of after hours activities especially if you like beer - Fantastic seasonal events - Full company trip to Dominican Republic for meeting quotas - Company is growing rapidly with lots of room for promotion - Paid training and certifications during "off time"
Cons
- Potentially can get assigned on-site with a customer indefinitely - Healthcare benefits aren't the best - Weekly timesheets even though you're on salary - used for customer billing - Bonuses aren't guaranteed even if fully utilized - LONG hours a few times a year. This is the "nature of the beast" and you are generally rewarded for your time via bonus if the company is doing well. - A bit too much religious talk from higher-ups. Not overbearing, but enough to make somebody who doesn't align with Christianity uncomfortable a few times a year
