Pros

Decent pay for the entry-level. 3 day work week (12hr shifts)

Cons

The 3 day work week is also a con because it does create scheduling issues. I've been there for over 2 years, and management still hasn't figured it out. This is only a taste of the incompetence the managers have. There are people who are in management with no prior experience. It's very clear a lot of them shoot from the hip when making decisions. There have been plenty of times I've been given wrong information from the ops managers. Not to mention, I would get different information depending on who I spoke to, Therefore, there's no consistency on information, and the policies and procedures are only suggestions. It's VERY frustrating to work when no one has a solid answer and the flow of information isn't great.

Pros

3 day work schedule lets you do other jobs or hobbies, the majority of your coworkers are hard working and fun to work with, and some supervisors are speaking in your behalf to support and uphold you and the team. If it wasn’t for the disconnect between upper management and logistics coordinators, the job would be perfect. Sense of purpose and appreciation for donors/donor networks.

Cons

Upper management is bloated with ill educated people with big egos that cannot take criticism or accountability. Lack of consistency from managers and upper management: poor communication between themselves and their subordinates. They hold their dispatch (logistics) to a higher standard than they do themselves and then wonder why no one wants to work hard. Ramped nepotism and butt kissing (or never complaining/having an opinion) is how you can move up in the company. Underpaid and they know it but will make excuses for not raising wages.
