Pros
The people who make up TrueCar are absolutely phenomenal - incredibly smart, committed, interesting and nice. The culture and compensation is great with interesting work and problems to solve. I have been promoted several times and am constantly being challenged to learn and master more skills. Being remote is great from a flexibility perspective as a working mom.
Cons
TrueCar has struggled with a clarified vision and path forward - I am excited to see leadership focus on the fundamentals of our business and on execution of those fundamentals and hope to see us stay focused.

Thanks for dropping us a review! We are happy to hear that you are excited about our new direction and remain as impressed as you are with the number of talents our crew brings to the table each day. And, you’re right. Our dynamic workplace is designed to offer you that flexibility to ensure you can be at your best both on and off the clock. We think you’ll see some programming roll out in the coming months to help all crew members gain a better understanding of our mission, goals, and values. Stay tuned!
My boss and team were amazing. Super talented and collaborative.
Cons
The company as a whole started floundering and its goals weren't clear anymore.

Thank you for sharing your feedback and for your contributions during your time with the company.
We’re pleased to hear that you had a positive experience with your manager and team; fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment remains a key priority for us.
We also appreciate your perspective regarding company direction and clarity of goals. As with any period of transition, maintaining alignment and focus is critical, and we recognize the importance of clear communication across the organization. We remain committed to strengthening this as we move forward.
We appreciate your insights and wish you continued success in your future endeavors.
No matter how hard you work, there’s no recognition or pay increase. I wouldn’t recommend using the open-door policy if you have concerns about a manager. I raised an ongoing issue and ended up being written up based on claims that I wasn’t completing my work, even though I was following instructions. When layoffs happened, I was unfortunately among the first to be let go. It felt like a real slap in the face after all the time and commitment I gave to the company.

We appreciate your feedback and thank you for the contributions you made during your time with the company.
We’re pleased to hear that you valued our benefits package and remote work flexibility, both of which remain important components of our employee experience.
We take feedback regarding recognition and our open-door policy seriously. TrueCar is committed to maintaining a workplace where employees can safely raise concerns and where all issues are reviewed fairly and objectively. While organizational changes and employment decisions are driven by broader business considerations, we understand that these transitions are difficult.
We wish you the best in your future endeavors.
