Pros
I've been working at Truehold for just under a year and my favorite thing has got to be the people. Everyone is incredibly smart and collaborative across departments. Because of the combination between new technology and traditional real estate, I feel like I'm learning something new everyday. The whole team across the US really wants to come together and build something great, which makes you want to go to work everyday. Work/life balance is also a huge pro. I do feel like my manager cares about my wellbeing and prioritizes my growth as well as my mental health. Compensation is fair and the benefits are really solid. No fluffy vanity perks. The healthcare options are perfect for me and the 401k matching program is ideal. I also feel really comfortable talking to HR or the exec team about what new benefits I think would be great. There's an open dialogue about it that I really like. I love that the company is mission-driven. It's the thread that ties everyone together. The senior housing sector is really underrepresented when it comes to startups. We're talking to our customers all the time, and it's exciting to know we have impact.
Cons
Truehold is a small startup so you're getting to build something from the ground-up, and that comes with challenges. I think Truehold could do a better job at catering to some of the growing pains as they come up immediately. Or at least addressing them head-on. This is definitely not a large corporate structured atmosphere. You have to be adaptable and okay with constant change.
