This is my first and the finest venture till now and everything is my own to me.
Cons
I have learned a lot to handle situations with the clients. I think no one can handle better than a financial consultant relates to financial activities.
You get to learn a lot. Its all do it yourself. No one will extend a helping hand. Also, if you manage to survive beyond a year then you have become apt at dealing with extreme & ruthless office politics and can flourish in the worst of work environments.
Cons
I joined as a AM-HR & took over the department as Mgr-HR in a few months. I had to work very hard to rebuild the department which was left in shatters after the last HR team left. Surprisingly the most resistance came from the higher management and my peers. No one wanted to let a system or process develop. the work culture is non existent an policy matters are decided on whims & fancies. Plus the fact that if you are not related to someone higher up your chances of success/survival are limited. it was a daily fight.
