Pros

Company is starting to turn a profit and reinvesting the money into much needed floor remodeling and upgrading outdated equipment. All rooms will be private one day.

Cons

Huge disconnect between management and floor staff. Floors are very frequently understaffed. Nurse ratio can routinely be 6:1 on very ill patients. Many of the nurses are new grads without the experience to handle that type of caseload. CNA ratio is usually one per fifteen patients. Staff are trying hard, but they are overworked and feel like failures. Management keeps saying they "hear" staff, but nothing ever seems to change.

Pros

High Acuity patients Maintain Skillset Job security

Cons

Too many patients in a day and not enough time to spend with them. Minimal admin time to manage InBasket and patient needs. Frequently need to juggle a full and complex patient schedule with urgent test results and care coordination. Have to use personal PTO to cover holidays and any time the clinic is closed due to circumstances outside of our control. (weather, power outages, etc) Annual performance Bonuses are now being determined by online patient feedback scores.
