      Pros

      There are a lot of opportunities to learn at UCLA Bioinformatics program. Also, you can have a lot of collaboration opportunities.

      Cons

      Payment in school is not as high as industry though it is enough for life. You can't have part-time job.

      Pros

      Great health insurance - I'm told it's really quite fire (no lie) Great location - love Westwood (sandwiched by Brentwood, Bel Air, and Beverly Hills) Union is tremendously supportive

      Campus dining options are kinda weak - breaks my heart to eat the same thing every day

      Working with students is satisfying and fulfilling. It also helps yourself retain information you have learned from past courses.

      Cons

      The Peer Learning Unit is poorly managed, and it is difficult to communicate with your supervisors.
