Pros

I have sat at this screen for a good 10 minutes now, trying to wrack to write something to balance this review out. And honestly, the only good thing that came out of this: the friendships that I developed with the other interns.

Cons

One of the (unfortunately, many) organizations on the Hill that run off of the illegal labor of unpaid interns. Many of the situations I was put in was uncomfortable--at the best--and downright awful. It was, by far, the most unprofessional organization I have ever had the displeasure of working with.

Pros

Loved interning here. Interns get a lot of responsibility which is both good and bad depending on you. You can get the chance to organize really cool events. Boss is awesome and always willing to help you in any aspect.

Cons

It's a small non-profit so the benefits are not very good compared to other opportunities.

Pros

Good exposure to Congressional staff, committees, and general sphere of political affairs. Leadership kind and welcoming. Reimbursed for commute costs over the course of the internship.

Cons

Small office space so not much room to spread out or privacy.
