Cons
Not getting paid.I am writing this during no government shutdown. This issue is not related to what occurred in early 2019. I began work in June, and still not have not been paid for my first pay period. I keep going up against a bunch of bureaucratic crud, and I'm at the point where I can't pay my bills, I can't pay my car payment, I can't pay my car insurance, I can't pay my fuel expenses, and it's insane! A horrific domino effect. Everytime I push payroll, I get told it will be on the next paycheck, and it never comes. I just checked this morning,l because we get paid on Monday, and my check should be in queue now. It is not! I am getting paid for my last pay period worked, but still nothing from my first paycheck which was to have posted on July 1. This past pay period I worked few hours because I'm not able to cover my fuel expenses due to not getting that first paycheck. This has caused me financial chaos because I left a job I was unhappy with for this job. And I'm in the Social Security Ticket-to-Work program, to help me off of Social Security Disability Income, but because of that, I don't have a nest day or resources to tap. It's causing a personal financial spiral. It shouldn't have been this way, and I don't understand why I can't get paid. It's a violation of labor laws! Potential census workers, beware!
