Pros

When I joined the company in 2007, I got a 30% bonus that was pad at 100%. The company had a long track record of paying bonuses, promoting from within, and excellent job security. But that was before the economy went sour. Since then, bonus percentages have been cut by 10% and generally, it's less and less each year. Still a good company, good culture, few people leave as it's a positive and professional environment.

Cons

I've been here for years and I've seen a lot of change, but nothing like what is coming our way in the next couple of years. US Foods was just bought by Sysco foods, our main competitor. My position may be ok, but there are thousands of people that will lose their jobs in the coming years. The company is telling us all what we want to hear right now to prevent a mob revolt. But when the integration is complete, they will start to remove the redundancy. Lots of uncertainty. I would certainly avoid this company if you had a better offer.

Pros

401k is good Benefits got more affordable

Cons

The biggest con is what must these big companies fail to focus on. Money. If to ask, even if you document measurable results ,that i spent a long time composing. You are told that other mechanics get the same or around the same pay. Then say no. Going the extra mile everyday, doesn't get you anything . Yes it's pay. We start a little better than market. But don't go up from there. Yes not right. Not we cannot get any overtime to make up for the lack of raise . It forces good mechanics out . Also they focus way to much on irrelevant things like dei etc .it should be the work you do not what you look like.
