Pros

Work life/home life balance Benefits Pay Vacation time Bonuses People Opportunities Learning Path to better yourself -In my 3 plus years with US Water Systems, I have seen time and time again where the owner’s step in and help an employee with what they have going on in their life. They genuinely care about their employees and even bettering employees lives at work and outside of work. I can say this from a personal standpoint as well as seeing them help coworkers. I have NEVER worked anywhere that cared about my life outside of work. At my Grandmother’s funeral, I looked up to see the owner walking towards me to shake my hand and offer his condolences. I watched a warehouse employee ask about bettering himself by learning blueprints and CAD drawings, so they gave him the tools and the knowledge and that is now the role he is in at US Water Systems. Those are just a couple examples, but bottom line, if you want to learn and better yourself, they will make sure you have the tools to do so. If you are going through something, they notice and ask how they can help. Great people! I have been to multiple dinners, Pacer games, I can go on and on. That is not something they have to do, but they chose to. They take great care of their people.

Cons

As a former employee that left and came back to US Water, the big con was a small group of inside management who ended up being a cancer to the company and caused people like me to leave. This was probably written by one of them, after the President fired them, and is a good example of how a bad manager can really hurt a company and make them lose good people. I personally felt as someone who worked at US Water Systems for years and left and now came back, that I should give a more accurate review.

Pros

Great place to work! They have always looked out for their employees. Myself included. Over the years the definition of "a good job" has changed. US Water has always changed with the times to make sure they meet that definition. US Water employs a diverse group of people in age and culture. It is important that employees can embrace our culture and core values. This is an American company that proudly builds things with that stamp.

Cons

It's not for everyone. Because US Water is so versatile and dynamic it is difficult for one dimensional people to thrive.

Pros

- Clean drinking water in the workplace.

Cons

- Company is owned and ran by a gen x couple and their 22 year old son. - They make terrible financial decisions (like illegally taking money from the company to fund personal projects and terminating employee bonuses as a result) and increase pressure on employees in attempts to compensate for said decisions. - The owners routinely undermine the SMEs/staff they've employed by agreeing to well thought out, data-driven strategies, and then shortly after dictate a change in direction based off feelings, intuitions, or anecdotal evidence.

I'm certain that the person who posted this review didn't understand the company culture that we've worked hard to build and that is probably one of the reasons that they are no longer employed there. We are proud that we are a family business and we have a great team of people that have been with us for years. We started our company from our garage 20 years ago and have grown it into a thriving e-commerce company. We try to pick people we really like and work with their strengths but that may not take them very far if they don't have the capacity for growth. We are not perfect and we are not illegally taking money from our own company - that is a lie and unfortunate that this person couldn't be truthful and write a real review with facts and not made up statements to get attention. We are very involved in our business and know intuitively and based on experience when a newly appointed person is trying to take us in a bad direction - if that is the case, we absolutely will pump the brakes and take over - we are responsible for ALL of our team members and will always make sure they are safely employed and can care for their families that depend on their paychecks.
