Pros
There are some good people still there, but the chance of you working with or for them is low.
Cons
Was this once a great company? Not really. Has it gotten worse? Yes. Uber Freight has only really succeeded in finding innovative ways to fail. The leaders are desperate for the tech world to think they are innovators, but most are just reposting self-help slop on Linkedin. They also don't seem to like each other. Tons of trash talking and blame without accountability. Freight might have flashed profitability earlier this year but only after hemorrhaging talent in a series of meandering layoffs. Go on LinkedIn and look up the number of 8+ year employees who left in the last 6 months. It's staggering. The sales org is rudderless. The ops org is exhausted. People are miserable. Whatever they're offering you, just know that when they say "join the rocket ship" what they mean is this is the career equivalent of landing in the OceanGate Titan submersible at 10,000ft below sea level. Everything is creaking and our brilliant captains are fighting over the gamecube controller.
