Pros

Unboxed is one of the most special places I've worked. The people here are genuine, they care about your wellbeing, and they encourage you to bring your whole self to work. I'm constantly impressed with the PTO benefits, choice of equipment and tools we can use, and ability to speak up and have my opinions and suggestions heard.

Cons

Unboxed is fast paced and there is a lot of change that happens as we keep up with our clients. Fortune 500 clients can change very rapidly and we have to sometimes turn on a dime to support htem. This can create lots of churn and rework that can be frustrating at times.

Pros

Get to be part of a company that builds cutting edge software. Unboxed has raised the bar for companies in Richmond on how to build innovative software. You get to be part of a company that is not stagnant, and always willing to take the responsible step forward with new technology. You will get to work on a small team of 5-10 people that will out deliver the larger "corporate" companies in town. One year at Unboxed is equal to 2-3 years of experience elsewhere. It's definitely a fast past environment for noobs, but overtime people learn, improve, and flourish. Opportunity can not go without being mentioned. Is rare to see a company in the middle of Richmond that gets to build such a diverse set of products. Whether its contributing to one of the 2 more populate enterprise products Unboxed offers or being a part of the custom world that can pretty much build anything that can help your Sales Team perform. It's always something new, fun, and challenging.

Cons

Working for a small company means you can't hide. Everyone has to do their part and work hard to take on new roles and responsibilities. An unfortunate side effect of this is turnover. When things don't work the company proactively makes change.
