Pros

You get out what you put in. You have the autonomy to create your own client base and form lasting business relationships with the people and places that you want to do business with. If you enjoy networking and can give great customer service, these connections will build on themselves. Take your own store, treat it as your own business, and you can succeed here. A lot of great people work at UGP. You work on your own a lot as a store manager at your own store, but there is a close knit team of other store managers and upper management for support. This company is quite young overall and growing fast, so you have a chance to make a name for yourself here. The ownership is very sharp and extremely driven and that gives a lot of confidence and excitement for the longterm outlook of the company as a whole. If you want to be a part of a smaller but rapidly expanding company, you have the opportunity to carve your own place and build a career at UGP. Other pros would be you get to be the T-shirt Hook-up for friends and family. Work in a fun/exciting environment by helping people make their own T-shirts... it's usually a fun thing creating your own shirts. Incentives in the form of bonuses are nice and 401K match is really great. Technology is always evolving and being updated. There are built-in streams for customer leads as opposed to constant cold calling. It is easy to sell a product and company that you believe in and that is the best part. The people, product, ownership, and values of the company make you proud to be a part of it.

Cons

There are constant deadlines for your customers and that can cause stress at times, especially during the busiest times of the year. During the busier periods, you might be working longer hours to make sure you are keeping up with deadlines and providing good customer service. Be able to self motivate. Be prepared to manage situations with products that did not turn out as expected (it happens from time to time) and be ready to accept the challenge of producing a good outcome in a bad situation. Working on your own means not many "co-workers" at your location if you are used to a "team" work environment, but you get to interact with many people on a day to day basis through face to face customer interaction and email/phone interaction with colleagues.
