Pros
Being here just about 8 months, I must say I have really enjoyed working here. The friendliness of the staff is wonderful once those regularly in the building have seen you around for a while. There is a committee who is tasked for regular holiday/seasonal activities, all of which have been fun and entertaining. I have personally been treated with the utmost respect. My supervisor is not only hard working, but is very flexible. While the policy is not the work from home regularly, when issues arise, you are able to get your work done where is it convenient. It allows for a work/life balance that most companies like to say they give, but truly don't. I'm also pleased to hear that the executive management team is taking their time to delve into where the company is going and taking big steps to change versus sticking with the status quo.
Cons
Except the PTO that is amazing, the benefits are fine, but I think they can be improved as time goes on. For instance, medical and dental only have 1 choice level and is quite expensive, especially for the family price. The retirement package does not have a match, which I consider to be very important, so I'd ask for that to change to 8-12%. Given that the majority of our workforce is over 40, it won't hurt to contribute to the employees.
Prior to coming on board, I was told there were annual reviews, but when I started, I learned that that standard merit/cost of living increases were not existent. Overall, I think these issues can be fixed as the company is taking a turn to better all practices.
